The small
end of an Anointing Shofar is left intact, and the Shofar is used for
holding oil during anointing. Anointing Shofars can not
be blown like a regular Shofar. They are used only to hold anointing
oil to anoint someone.
(Anointing Shofars are hand made. Some of the ones with caps
may fit better than others or may be tighter or looser than others.
They are not leak proof. They are the horn from
an animal and do not have a liquid tight seal. They are not
designed for storing anointing oil in. All companies selling
anointing Shofars are using Shofars all made by a small group of people
in Israel. All anointing Shofars have the same issues described
above. We have chosen to let you know of these issues, so that you
will be happy with your purchase.)
